We built DineDash becauserestaurants deserve more
Tables held long after the meal at peak times. Empty seats in the quiet hours. No easy way to fix either without being pushy. We saw it every day, and decided to fix it.

A 45-minute meal,
a 90-minute table.
Restaurants lose revenue every week because tables sit occupied for far longer than the meal itself takes. A 45-minute meal turns into a 90-minute table block.
The solution wasn't to rush customers that ruins the experience. The solution was to make eating efficiently rewarding.
We built DineDash around a simple insight: if finishing in a reasonable time earned diners a discount, they would naturally pace themselves, without any pressure from staff.
But not every hour is a rush. In the quiet hours the problem isn't slow tables, it's empty ones. So DineDash also offers a Fixed discount with no timer, which restaurants can schedule for exactly those hours.
The cost of a table
nobody is sitting at.
Idle table time is the quietest line item on a restaurant's P&L. It shows up in two ways.
The principles behind
every decision we make.
Restaurants get help through busy and quiet hours alike. Diners pay less. Every choice we make has to serve both sides of the table.
The right offer for every hour
Busy services and quiet ones need different things. Restaurants can reward finishing sooner when tables are in demand, and run a simple fixed discount when they're not.
Friction should be zero
No loyalty cards. No apps for staff. Just a quick sign-in we obsess over removing every unnecessary step from the dining experience.
Win-win design
The best product is one where both sides benefit. Restaurants get help filling and turning tables. Diners pay less. Always both.
Restaurants deserve better tech
The hospitality industry has been underserved by technology for too long. We're here to change that.
Built from inside the
problem, not around it.
DineDash didn't start as a product idea. It started on the restaurant floor, watching good tables sit idle through a full service.
Elliot Burdon
The same thing kept happening: a 45-minute meal holding a table for 90. Every restaurant had the same problem and the same non-answer. Rush people, or lose the cover. Both cost you something. DineDash started from the opposite idea: make finishing early worth something to the diner, and nobody has to be rushed at all. The restaurant gets the table back, the diner pays less, and no one at the table ever feels hurried.
